Grey Gardens is an HBO film about the lives of Edith Bouvier Beale "Little Edie" and her mother Edith Ewing Bouvier "Big Edie", starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange as the Edies. The fil flashes back and forth between Little Edie's life as a young woman and the actual filming/premiere of the 1975 documentary. It first aired on HBO on April 18, 2009. The film has received a nomination for the 2009 Television Critics Association award for Outstanding Achievement Movies, Mini-Series, and Specials. The film was also nominated for 17 Primetime Emmy Awards, including nomination for lead actress in a miniseries or movie for both Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange.
