Just gonna be me for One Mystical Monkey: O and I am playing my way. No rules reposting.
1. I have been a vegetarian since I was exposed to the true nature of cows during an excavation with my archeology class in 2004. Even though they smell foul, they were nice---nice cows. Now I try my very very best to avoid eating animals and their by-products for more than just 'ahimsa' reasons. I feel so much healthier; almost like I can fly and I think I have become even more flexible.

2. Of course, I have a fascination with the intimacy of food, natural peanut butter, and eating seaweed. Every day at least a lick of the creamy stuff. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Just really appreciative and astonished by healing and energizing nibbles; especially fruit-soooo juicy and sweet. Seriously, it amazes me beyond belief. All of nature does. I take my time to eat.

3. I am still a child at heart. I still (sometimes) sleep with a teddy bear or my doll. As a kid, I assigned inanimate objects tremendous supportive roles in my life. I still assign things roles--but not so much for support anymore. More for fun. (i think) I know, I know--my doll Faith (below) is raggedy... but she is almost as old as I am so give her a break. Her hair used to shine and fall prettily. And boy do I miss my lil' gorilla friend! Is he inside of your pocket??

4. I climb, sit in, and hug trees for stress relief. I have a favorite tree just outside my window thankfully.

5. I just found out today that I am going on a road trip from Texas all the way up to Minnesota. Just me and my sister, Nova (in September). I hope I get to see the Northern Lights she always talks about and maybe even cross into Canada.

6. I love my lil' brothers as if they were my own two children. For this reason, I don't feel like I am missing anything about being a woman and am not rushing to create children of body and flesh just yet. (or ever)
7. I have a funny thing about jewelery, makeup, and nail polish. Sometimes I have to be gaudy, colorful, and girly and other days I wear none at all. I always shave my legs. And I hate malls.

8. Wait, one more thing, I think sharing cereal is a gross thing. And I have to pour my own soy milk. Please don't try to pour it for me. I know how much I need and if I spill it, it'll be my fault.
If you are still reading this, consider yourself tagged, no pressure to play. Many of you, I know, have already played this game. Thanks Mystical Monkey for giving me the opportunity to reach inside and share.

I love all of this about you.

Grew up in Minnesota. If you can get past the mosquitos and woodticks in the summer, it's pretty good. You'll have a nice trip.
All good photos to enhace the post. I really like the first one. Well composed and love the angle of view. Have you seen the In Cinq blog? This photo would be a good contribution for that project.

Hi,
Just to let thank you for letting me know the term Ahimsa. I have been a vegetarian since 1995. I have always explained that I am a vegetarian by choice. From now on, I guess I would adopt the same as you.
Blessings,
WaterLearner (Singapore)

Although I did read this when you first posted the link, please accept my apologies for the *very* tardy comment on your wonderfully insightful and reflective post. There is a pensive quietude that permeates your being, shown quite beautifully here.
Thank you for sharing!
*hugs* ... Namaste
